The Mission:
The mission of Holy Spirit Beach Church is to lead people to receive salvation in Jesus Christ and to be transformed through the Holy Spirit to bring the love of Christ to the Westside of Los Angeles.
What We Believe:
We Are To Be Known By Our Love
We believe one of the defining attributes of those who are genuinely following Jesus is their love. We see this clearly from the words of Jesus in John 13:35:
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Unlimited Forgiveness
We believe that Jesus clearly gave us the standard for forgiveness, that no one is too far gone and unreachable from His saving mercy.
Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times. – Mat 18:21-22
Only Jesus
We believe that Jesus is the only answer to the sin of the world and the only way to eternal life.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. – John 14:6
We believe that a human spirit is eternal and once your physical body dies, your spirit is either going to be with Jesus or it isn’t. On this earth, everyone benefits from some measure of God’s presence on the earth. For your spirit to be with Jesus after your body dies, you must be born again in Jesus Christ. Eternal separation from God is Hell.
You Must Be Born Again
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. – John 3:5

The way to be born again is simple. Romans 10:9-10 tells us:

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. – Romans 10:9-10
Gifts Of The Spirit
We believe in the gif and the power of the holy spirit.

To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.“ 1 Cor 12:7-11
Commanded To Heal and Cast Out Demons
We believe that the devil and his demons are real spiritual beings. We believe that we are commanded to cast demons out of people. We believe that we are commanded to drive sickness out of people in Jesus name.
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons.“ Mat 10:8
God Has Protected The Bible Supernaturally
We believe that the Bible is the infallible, word of God.
“I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.“ Mat 5:18
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away”- Mat 24:35
If we believe that God can make the sun, the stars and human beings is it that hard to believe he can protect His words in our Bibles? The King James bible published in AD 1611 used a scroll of the book Isaiah from around AD 1000. An older scroll of Isaiah from around 125 BC was found in 1947 near the Dead Sea. The words from the Isaiah scroll from 125 BC matched the scroll from around 1000 AD, after more than 1100 years. The differences were minor mostly in spelling and punctuation.
